Engineered for
conductivity & conformability

Woven Ni/Cu polyester fabric in tape form — combining excellent electrical conductivity with the flexibility and conformability needed for complex geometries and tight assembly spaces.

Our conductive cloth tape is manufactured from electrically conductive polyester fabric woven with Nickel and Copper fibers. It provides a continuous shielding path, resists corrosion, and maintains Z-axis continuity under repeated compression. Available in roll form with aggressive adhesive backing for immediate production use.

Why Choose It

Six reasons engineers
specify our cloth tape

All specifications tested per ASTM and GB standards. The Ni/Cu fiber weave maintains shielding effectiveness and surface conductivity after one million abrasion cycles — proven in mobile, telecom, and medical production lines.
Broadband EMI Shielding
Achieves ≥80 dB shielding effectiveness across 10 MHz to 3 GHz per ASTM-D4635 — covering the full range of modern wireless, RF, and digital signal frequencies.
Ultra-Low Surface Impedance
Surface impedance of ≤0.05 Ω (ASTM-F390, 25.4mm × 50mm) ensures reliable EMC grounding and Z-axis continuity critical for RF-tight enclosures and shielded cables.
1,000,000 Cycle Anti-Wear
Tested to 1,000,000 abrasion cycles per ASTM-D4966 — the Ni/Cu weave retains its conductivity and surface integrity even under high-frequency contact and assembly stress.
Salt Spray Corrosion Resistance
Grade 8 salt spray performance per GB5938 — the Ni/Cu fiber composition resists oxidation in humid, coastal, and industrial environments where bare copper foil would degrade rapidly.
High Metal Layer Adhesion
AATCC-TM8 adhesion grade of 7.4 confirms the metal fiber layer remains bonded to the substrate under wet and dry rubbing — essential for long-term reliability in flex and fold applications.
Tensile Strength & Conformability
Radial tensile strength of 18 kg/cm² and zonal 16 kg/cm² (ASTM-5034) — the tape conforms to curved and irregular surfaces while resisting tearing during die-cutting and assembly.
Construction

How the cloth tape is built

01
Polyester Base Yarn
A high-tenacity polyester yarn provides the structural foundation — delivering tensile strength, dimensional stability, and the flexibility to conform to complex enclosure geometries without creasing or cracking.
02
Ni/Cu Metal Fiber Weave
Nickel and Copper fibers are woven directly into the polyester substrate, forming a continuous conductive mesh. This creates a 109 G/M² fabric with uniform conductivity, low surface impedance, and excellent shielding characteristics across the full 10 MHz to 3 GHz band.
03
Surface Treatment & Anti-Wear Finish
The woven fabric receives a surface treatment that locks metal fibers in place (AATCC-TM8 Grade 7.4 adhesion) and improves abrasion resistance to over one million cycles — maintaining conductivity even in high-rub assembly environments.
04
PSA Backing & Roll Slitting
Pressure sensitive adhesive is applied to the reverse face for immediate bonding. Master rolls (up to 1100 mm wide, ≤400 m length) are slit to your specified width and supplied ready for pick-and-place or hand assembly.

Use Cases

Where our
cloth tape performs

Conductive cloth tape is the preferred choice when flexible, thin-profile EMI shielding is required — applied directly to PCBs, cables, flex circuits, and enclosure seams where rigid foil tapes would crack or fail in service.
Mobile & Digital
Mobile Phones & Digital Communication
Applied inside smartphone chassis to shield antennas, cameras, and display drivers from mutual interference — the go-to tape for handset OEMs.
Medical
Medical Devices
ROHS-compliant, low-impedance shielding for imaging, diagnostic, and patient monitoring equipment.
LCD & Display Systems
Shields display driver ICs and flex-cable runs from radiated interference in thin-panel electronics.
Electronic Shielding Wire
Wrapped around wire harnesses and coax runs for broadband shielding from 10 MHz to 3 GHz.
Computers & Cameras
Used on PCB sections, flex circuits, and camera modules to prevent cross-talk and meet FCC/CE compliance.
FAQ

Common questions answered

Manufacturing
What widths and lengths are available?
+
Master rolls are supplied at 1100 mm width and up to 400 m length. We slit to any custom width on request — from narrow 6 mm strips for cable wrapping up to full-width rolls for die-cutting. Minimum order quantities apply to slit widths.
What is the difference between conductive cloth tape and conductive foil tape?
+
Foil tape (copper or aluminum) is rigid and can crack at bends and flex joints. Conductive cloth tape is flexible and conformable — it wraps around cables, follows enclosure curves, and survives repeated flexing without losing continuity. It also provides Z-axis conductivity through its thickness, unlike some foil tapes.
Does the adhesive conduct electricity?
+
The standard PSA is non-conductive — grounding is achieved through the fabric face pressing against the metal mating surface. A conductive PSA option is available on request, enabling through-adhesive grounding when bonding to non-metallic substrates like painted plastic enclosures.
Is the tape compatible with automated dispensing?
+
Yes. The tape is supplied in slit-to-width rolls compatible with most automated tape dispensers and pick-and-place adhesive systems. Please share your dispenser model and liner preference (paper or PET release liner) when ordering.
Is this tape halogen-free and ROHS compliant?
+
The tape is ROHS 2.0 compliant as standard. Halogen-free variants are available on request, preferred for medical device and automotive applications requiring strict material declarations and full material disclosures.
