Why Choose It

Six properties that set
our web adhesives apart

Performance is validated across all three chemistries — COPA for high-temperature metal and plastic lamination, TPU for flexible shoe and textile bonding, and EVA for low-melt applications including foam, paper, and non-woven fabrics.
Washing & Dry Cleaning Resistance
The bond maintains integrity through repeated laundering and dry cleaning cycles — essential for clothing, home textiles, and luggage where bond failure after washing is unacceptable.
Temperature Resistance
Formulated for both high and low temperature stability — bonded assemblies resist delamination from heat (automotive interiors, ironing) and cold (outdoor gear, refrigerated storage environments).
High Air Permeability
The open non-woven web structure allows air and moisture vapor to pass through the bond line — critical for breathable garments, medical dressings, and comfort-focused automotive trim.
Soft Hand Feeling
Unlike film adhesives that stiffen laminated composites, the web format adds minimal stiffness — preserving the drape and soft feel of textile, leather, and non-woven substrates after bonding.
High Bonding Strength & Viscosity
Achieves strong peel and shear adhesion to textile, leather, plastic, fiberboard, EVA foam, non-woven, and metal surfaces — with the high viscosity needed for uniform web coverage on porous substrates.
Multi-Chemistry Options
COPA grades for demanding textile, leather, plastic, and metal lamination; TPU for flexible shoe and fiberboard applications; and EVA for low-melt bonding of foam, paper, and non-woven assemblies.
How It Works

The lamination process

01
Select the Grade
Choose COPA (PRL-9213 / PRL-9212) for textile, leather, plastic, and metal lamination at 140–170°C. Choose TPU (PRL-6212) for flexible shoe materials and fiberboard at 130–160°C. Choose EVA (PRL-7285) for low-melt applications including foam, non-woven, leather, and paper at 100–120°C.
02
Position the Web
Place the adhesive web between the two substrates to be laminated. The open non-woven structure conforms easily to irregular surfaces — no cutting, coating, or pre-activation required. Compatible with continuous feed and intermittent press operations.
03
Apply Heat & Pressure
Apply heat at the specified bonding temperature and pressure (1.0–2.5 kg/cm²) for the required dwell time (8–15 seconds depending on grade). The web melts and flows into both substrate surfaces, creating a strong, uniform bond across the full contact area.
04
Cool & Inspect
Allow the assembly to cool under light pressure. The adhesive solidifies and bonds both surfaces permanently. The finished laminate retains air permeability, soft hand feel, and full washing and dry cleaning resistance — ready for downstream processing or final inspection.

FAQ

Common questions answered

Manufacturing
How do I choose between COPA, TPU, and EVA grades?
+
Choose COPA (PRL-9213 / PRL-9212) when laminating to plastic or metal and your press temperature can reach 140–170°C. Choose TPU (PRL-6212) for flexible substrates like shoe materials, leather, and fiberboard where you need good elongation in the bond line. Choose EVA (PRL-7285) for low-temperature applications — foam, paper, non-woven — where high press temperatures would damage the substrate.
Can the web adhesive be used in a continuous lamination press?
+
Yes. The web adhesive is designed for both continuous (roller press, belt laminator) and intermittent (platen press) operation. Ensure the dwell time and nip pressure match the grade specifications — 8 to 15 seconds at 1.0 to 2.5 kg/cm² depending on the grade selected.
How does the bond perform after washing?
+
All grades are formulated for excellent washing and dry cleaning resistance. For textile applications, we recommend conditioning samples through your standard wash test protocol (ISO 6330 or AATCC 135) at your intended wash temperature to confirm performance before full production release.
What custom sizes are available?
+
We can manufacture web adhesive in custom widths and thicknesses to match your lamination press width and application weight requirements. Share your process parameters and target coverage weight (GSM) and our team will confirm availability and minimum order quantity.
Is the adhesive web safe for medical and skin-contact applications?
+
Material safety data sheets are available for each grade. For medical device and skin-contact applications, please request full material declarations and specify any regulatory requirements (EU MDR, ISO 10993) at the time of enquiry so we can confirm suitability of the selected grade.
