Our RFID Blocking Protection Film is a multi-layer aluminum foil construction that creates a Faraday shield inside wallets, passport covers, and bags — stopping unauthorized contactless data skimming at source.

At just 0.1–0.3 mm, the film adds no perceptible bulk to any finished product and bends without cracking in folded wallet formats. An optional PSA adhesive backing enables tool-free integration into existing production lines. The blocking mechanism

RF Signal Is Emitted
An RFID reader emits a radio frequency electromagnetic field — at 13.56 MHz for contactless payment cards and NFC documents, or at 125 kHz for older proximity cards. The field attempts to power and communicate with any RFID chip within range, typically 10–30 cm.

Film Creates a Faraday Shield
The aluminum foil core of Precollee's RFID blocking film acts as a Faraday cage — a conductive enclosure that absorbs and reflects incoming electromagnetic radiation. The multi-layer construction ensures uniform shielding across the entire protected surface area with no gaps or weak points.

Signal Is Attenuated >99%
The RF field cannot penetrate the film to reach the card's antenna. The residual signal reaching the card chip is below the minimum threshold required for communication — the card does not respond and card data remains completely unreadable to the external reader.

Data Stays Protected
Card numbers, expiry dates, cardholder names, and any NFC-transmitted data are fully protected against drive-by skimming attacks. The film remains effective continuously — no battery, activation, or user action required. Protection is passive and permanent for the life of the wallet.

RFID blocking film
Does the film need to cover the entire wallet interior?

For maximum protection, the film should cover the full surface area of the card pocket or slot where the RFID card sits. Even a small gap in coverage can allow a sufficiently powerful reader to establish communication. For wallets with multiple card pockets, a continuous film panel spanning all card positions is recommended over individual per-slot inserts.
Will the film block NFC payments when the card is inside the wallet?

Yes — that is exactly the intended function. Cards inside a wallet lined with RFID blocking film will not respond to NFC payment terminals or any other RFID readers. The card must be removed from the wallet to be used for contactless payment. This is a deliberate security feature, not a limitation.
How do I attach the film inside a wallet during production?

The PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) backed variant can be pressed directly onto the wallet panel or card slot interior with hand pressure — no heat or additional adhesive required. The plain variant can be adhered using any compatible contact cement, hot melt adhesive, or sewn in place depending on your wallet construction method.
What custom sizes are available?

We can supply the film in custom widths and lengths as rolls, or as pre-cut inserts sized to your card pocket dimensions. Standard credit card size (86 × 54 mm) and passport size (125 × 88 mm) inserts are commonly requested. Share your wallet interior dimensions and we will confirm lead time and minimum order quantity.
Can the film be printed or branded?

A gloss surface finish option is available for OEM orders that makes the film compatible with screen printing or digital printing for branded inserts. Please specify print requirements — including inks, colours, and whether the print surface will be visible or hidden inside the wallet construction — when requesting a custom quote.
